Nautical Wheel Square
This stunning blue and tan variegated square is rated at an Intermediate Skill Level and the pattern came from The Granny Square Book by Margaret Hubert. It contains a variety of stitches; single crochet, double crochet, chain stitch, cluster stitch, half double picot and treble stitches.
I used 4 weight yarn and a H/5mm hook
Square size 6 1/2 Inches
The pattern was very easy to read but I get why it is rated intermediate. It has a wide variety of stitches and getting them all in the right place took me a couple tries to get right.
I thought the blue and tan variegated yarn just screamed nautical! I absolutely love this square and think a blanket made from it would be stunning!! Not sure if I would use a variegated, I feel some of the finer detail is lost due to the mix-up of colors. The pattern in the book uses 2 colors and I think that worked better.
