Hello and thanks for stopping by my boutique! I'm Stephanie—nice to meet ya! 😊 My love of all things yarn and thread goes back farther than I can remember. I joke that I think I was born knowing how to crochet because I honestly don't remember learning. Maybe I had a bottle in one hand and yarn in the other! As a kid, I crocheted and made massive amounts of plastic canvas projects. Who else remembers those little plastic canvas holders with a Hershey's Kiss tucked inside? Oh, the memories! I spent my career as a machine embroidery digitizer, running my company, HeartStrings Embroidery. I retired in 2019 and spent a couple of years being extremely bored (although my house was spotless!). Before becoming an embroiderer in 1994 (yes, I'm old 😆), I was an avid—and slightly addicted—cross-stitcher. Back in the days before the internet I had to order my floss bobbins through the mail. The indecency! I've spent most of my life with thread or yarn in my hands. If it has thread or yarn I have probably done it (except knit, I don't do that. Mother-In-Law tried to teach me but that didn't go well). I quilt, sew, crochet, cross-stitch, and collect antique sewing machines. I am a huge Volkswagen Beetle nut, love Mickey Mouse and collect Friends socks (don't ask, don't know how that started). I am mom to 4, Grammie to 6 and married over 30 years to my sweetie. My cats, (Norton and Nellie) and my Shih Tsu pups (Forrest, Beethoven & Fancy) hang out with me in my office. I truly love creating stitch markers, needle minders and all kinds of fun 3D-printed accessories. My philosophy is simple: stitch markers and the other goodies I offer are yarn and thread bling! You should enjoy and love the tools you use for the crafts you love. I have big plans for future endeavors for Daisy Laine!
